Description

This course is suitable for individuals working within the private and public sectors of the healthcare service, particularly in residential care homes and domiciliary homes.

Course Contents: Learners will gain the concept of equality and diversity, highlight how stereotyping and labelling affects individuals and groups, outline the effects of prejudice and discrimination, promote good practice in the workplace/community, provide employers with a structured training programme which will meet the training needs of their employees.

Teaching and Assesment

Candidates work through the learning materials and complete assessments for each unit.  Learning activities are based on a combination of knowledge and skills learned on the programme and work-based activities and experience.  Each candidate will have access to a tutor who will support them throughout the programme.
