Summary
Description
This course is suitable for individuals working within the private and public sectors of the healthcare service, particularly in residential care homes and domiciliary homes.
Course contents: This course enables healthcare staff, such as auxiliaries, care workers and assistants to reduce the risk of contamination in their work setting. It will build up their self awareness and stress the importance of their role at work in infection control.
Teaching and Assesment
Candidates work through the learning materials and complete assessments for each unit. Learning activities are based on a combination of knowledge and skills learned on the programme and work-based activities and experience. Each candidate will have access to a tutor who will support them throughout the programme.
