Summary

This course is for people with some management experience at operational level who are looking to gain promotion or improve their management skills and knowledge.  It is also suitable for supervisors wishing to progress into management.

Description

The aim of the level 5 Award, Certificate and Diploma in Management is to provide managers with the skills needed to operate effectively in a management capacity and may also be useful to those aspiring to a management role. It is intended for those with some management experience but without formal qualifications, such as supervisors who hope to move to management positions and recent graduates. For the level 5 Diploma you will take three core units plus six specialist units, including: Leadership; IT for Managers and Introducing Strategy etc.

The Diploma forms the final 12 weeks of a one year programme. 

Upon successful completion of all three levels you can progress to Level 7 or other higher level business qualifications at this college

Teaching and Assesment

Through work based assignments which could include written reports or oral presentations.

Entry Requirements

Ideally a related level 3 qualification combined with relevant work experience or be in a management role. Recent graduates new to management.
