This course is for people with some management experience at operation level who are looking to gain promotion or improve their management skills and knowledge. It is also suitable for supervisors wishing to progress into management.
The aim of the level 5 (Award, Certificate and Diploma) in Management is to provide managers with the skills needed to operate effectively in a management capacity and may also be useful to those aspiring to a management role. It is intended for those with some management experience but without formal qualifications, such as supervisors who hope to move to management positions and recent graduates. Modules in the Award include: personal development, managing activities, managing financial resources, management and leadership skills and managing the marketing process.
The Award lasts 12 weeks before moving to the Certificate for a further 12 weeks and then onto the Diploma for a final 12 weeks.
Upon successful completion of all three levels you can progress to Level 7 or other higher level business qualifications at this college.
Through work based assignments which could include written reports or oral presentations.
Ideally a related level 3 qualification combined with relevant work experience or be in a management role. Recent graduates new to management.
