Description


Engineering is big business and needs skilled people at all levels. This comprehensive and practical course will develop your fabrication and welding skills. You will gaining you a qualification in MIG, TIG, and MMA. There is also a theory element to this course which includes health and safety. Course units include: Manual Metal-Arc Welding Metal-Arc Gas Shielded Welding Tungsten-Arc Gas Shielded Welding.

Teaching and Assesment


Student-centred task-based learning. The units in welding processes and fabrication processes are assessed by means of practical and written tests graded against specified defect criteria. The classifications used are in accordance with elements of BS EN ISO 6520.
