Somerset College are to launch an unprecedented 300 short courses to help get the economy moving again by training staff to meet companies’ needs.

Somerset College are putting on 300 short courses and 1 day workshops throughout the year to help give businesses the best opportunity to ensure their staff are fully trained.  

Courses on offer will include customer service, effective leadership skills and dementia awareness, and will be officially launched by the College on Thursday 1 October.

Sue Parker, Somerset College’s Head of Enterprise, said: ‘Now more than ever the best way to ensure your business can meet the demands put on it is to train the employees you already have. The courses on offer will enable your staff to ensure they have all the necessary skills they need to carry out their job roles.’

In addition to these, for a limited time only, Somerset College is offering a range of distance learning course free of charge (although there is a fee if the course is not completed).
