Young people will get the chance to learn from the expert when Natasha Scribbins, recent star of the TV series The Apprentice, will help inspire young people at a special Apprenticeship Evening being held at Somerset College tomorrow (Thursday July 21).
Natasha, 31, who has been in the media spotlight for months as a contestant in the recent series with Lord Alan Sugar, will be hosting an interactive session on interview skills and talking to hopeful apprentices - not just as a celebrity but as an expert in staffing and recruitment.
“I’m really glad to be helping at this event, to really encourage young people to make the most of the opportunities that are out there,” she said.
In addition visitors attending the Apprenticeship Evening will also be able to:
• Meet nearly 20 local employers
• Attend free workshops on writing CVs and cover letters
• Try 10 minute mock interviews and gain valuable interview tips.
The Apprenticeship Evening is being held at the College from 4-7pm, with Natasha’s talk and interactive session starting at 5.45pm.
People who wish to book a mock interview or CV workshop in advance can fill out the registration form on the College website at www.somerset.ac.uk and all visitors on the evening will be entered into a free prize draw to win one of two iPod Nanos.
Somerset College runs a wide variety of Apprenticeships from Information Technology to Customer Service, Business Administration to Health and Social Care and many more.
Exhibitors range from The Army to Butlins, Saville Lloyd Construction Recruitment to St Margaret’s Hospice.
