Somerset College announce a new Director of Enterprise and External Relations to oversee all business relations at the College.

Somerset College has built up an enviable reputation as a leading skills training provider in the West Country and now the College has a new Director of Enterprise and External Relations to take the organisation to the next level.

Sue Parker is making the step from Head of Division for Social and Professional Studies in the College and takes up her post in September.

Sue has been instrumental in setting up the partnership with Musgrove Park Hospital which allows the College to provide training to staff at the hospital in Taunton. The hospital provides a series of work placements for students at the College to take part in.

Sue said: ‘I have enjoyed my time in the Social and Professional Studies division, but this is a new challenge that I’m really looking forward to. I have worked closely with a number of businesses and will look to build on that to ensure that the services we offer meet the needs of the marketplace.’

Somerset College Business Training delivers training to businesses across the West Country. The service is also able to accommodate more than 200 people in purpose built conference facilities.
