Somerset College provides the full range of hair and beauty treatments to the highest professional standards through both the Graduate Hair Salon and the Hair and Beauty Salon. Both welcome members of the public, with the Graduate Hair Salon open Monday – Saturday throughout the year and the training Hair and Beauty Salon open Monday to Friday term time only.

The Graduate Hair Salon
With a setting to match any high quality salon, the staff - all graduate students - carry out their work to the highest commercial standards, supervised closely by highly qualified hairdressing members of staff.
The salon offers a wide range of hair services from quality haircuts to colourings and perms and the students’ work is assessed to ensure a high quality service is provided at all times by professional tutors Jo Holman-Jones and David Muldoon, who work alongside them. In addition senior stylist Lynn Bryson, a Wella Professional Master Colour Expert, provides a full commercial service at the salon from Thursdays to Saturdays.
The salon uses all Wella products of the highest standard, and sells them at retail prices.

The Hair and Beauty Salon
This is the College’s training environment for Hair and Beauty, offering members of the public and the College a wide range of quality services at very affordable prices. Students training on Hair and Beauty courses are supervised at all times by highly qualified staff, in a professional salon environment using quality products.
The salon is also a stockist of well known GHD and Dermalogica products and these are also used in treatments.
This salon is open during term time only and due to the demands of the student curriculum, not all treatments are available throughout the year.
