College staff, students and the wider community benefit from first class child care on the campus, run by Mama Bear’s Day Nursery in a purpose-built centre.

Mama Bear’s, OFSTED registered and originally established in Bristol, provides 54 places for children aged 0 to pre-school, in a safe and happy environment. This includes free pre-school classes (up to 15 hours a week during term time) to which all 3 and 4 year olds are entitled.

Mama Bear’s is the bridge between home and school, providing a safe, friendly environment where enjoyment and fun are linked with discovery and learning. It benefits from light, airy rooms, an inviting and secure outdoor area, excellent equipment and a new kitchen.

The Nursery is run by experienced Manager Kerry Sturmey, who successfully ran the previous nursery on the College site for the past six years. Staff are friendly and caring, fully qualified and checked as required by OFSTED and CRB.

Opening times

Mama Bear’s Day Nursery is open all year round from 7.30am – 7pm, excluding Bank Holidays and the Christmas period.

There are morning and afternoon sessions from 7.30 am – 12.30pm and 12.30pm – 6pm, plus extended evening hours up to 7pm.
