Work with Partners

We work closely with many of the Sector Skills Councils and are members of both Taunton and Somerset Chambers of Commerce.

We are the preferred Suppliers to the Career Transition Partnership together with being an Approved Learning Provider under the Enhanced Learning Credits Scheme (Registration Number 1227)

We have been working with the University of Plymouth for over ten years to bring university-level education to Somerset and we are currently the second largest college in the University of Plymouth Colleges partnership. This partnership has been recognised as a Centre of Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL). The University validates all our degrees, foundation degrees and higher national certificates. The standard of these courses is assured by, and no different from, those at the University itself.

We work in conjunction with Nextstep, which is the Government's free service giving practical help and advice on learning and work to adults aged 20 and over, whether in work or unemployed. We have three LSC-designated Centres of Vocational Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality; Residential Social Care and Construction (Crafts, Professions and Sustainability), we also hold Chartermark status for our excellence in Customer Service.
